Sneak Peak

Okay so as promised here is a sneak peak as to what Ive been working on in the girls room. Its a Chinese paper lantern with 1200 coffee filters glued to the outside. YES I said 1200. Then the light is a little something I rigged up from the AS IS bin at Ikea Grand total $14 minus the gift card for Ikea = a whooping $5 for the coffee filters. I love it and so do Tayah and Isabelle which means it was a success. My hubby likes it minus the fact that he always has to duck to go under because it is so HUGE.




So thats all for now in the girls room until I get it painted. Maybe in the late Spring when I can open the windows to vent the room. Check back later.

Spring?

So it hasn't felt much like SPRING here in Calgary as the snow is still falling but I have decorate a little in hopes of bringing Spring sooner.



So this is how the mantle will look till summer! Its quite girly but I like it.

This ball was made from coffee filters my new favorite craft supply as you will see in my next post with a sneak peak of the girls room.

Past Projects

Okay so when I started to find pictures for this post I realized that I have some unfinished projects or should I say areas of my house and so I thought if I post that I'm going to show you it later when it's finished and you can see it in all its beauty it will motivate me. I also have some projects that are seasonal and are packed away so you will have to wait to see those. Hope you like some of it.




This is in my girls room where I am currently working on a few projects so I will show you that when it is finished maybe this weekend.....Hopefully this weekend




This was my winter wreath in between Christmas and Spring but it has been moved and I am currently working on a Spring theme up there that I hope to show you later today when I finish it...So check back soon because it is super cute.





We have a Stainless steel fridge and I always felt bad that the kids had no where to display school and Sunday school stuff so I made this and its in the hallway from the Garage entry to the kitchen and it might be my favorite thing I've made because it has function not just cuteness.





This is part of the spring stuff and took some time to make each flower with paper but it sure has the pretty factor going on. And again you will see it with the mantle for spring hopefully later today.





This is in my powder room on the main level of the house and I often say that I wish I had not wasted it on the powder room because I LOVE it so much.


This is not my final blog design a good friend who is amazing at this stuff has offered to help me so hopefully it will be a little better....who are we kidding a lot better.

Oh and on a side note I've heard that pink is the hot color to decorate with so look out Girls room here I come!!

Welcome

This is a little scary to be starting but we will see what happens. Some people asked me to start this to show them what I've been working on. I will post some of my old projects and when I start something new I will do a tutorial so if your interested in making it you can. So watch for some pictures of old projects tomorrow.
